Limited English Proficiency Services

 

At Signature Healthcare, we have a staff of 21 trained medical interpreters speaking Cape Verdean Creole, Portuguese, Spanish, Haitian Creole, and French.  Our interpreters are all highly qualified native speakers, who live in the community they work.  Interpreters are available at all Signature Healthcare locations.

We also have relationships with local interpreting agencies, which allow us access to freelance interpreters speaking over 36 languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Korean, Polish, Russian, Somali, Thai, Urdu, Vietnamese, and more.

We have access to over-the-phone medical interpreters speaking over 180 different languages.  Access to our telephonic interpreting system is available 24-7, throughout our organization.

Signature Healthcare has our vital documents translated into the languages that are most frequently spoken by our patients, including consents for treatment, patient education materials, discharge instructions, and more.
