Brockton, MA – More than 10,000 walkers didn’t let the rain and cold dampen their spirits as they walked through Brockton in support of the Champions Fighting Cancer Walk on Sunday, May 4. This year’s Walk, which has quickly become one of the largest charity events in the Metro South area, raised $250,000 to date, with many pledges still being returned. Funds from the walk benefit Signature Healthcare cancer programs and the Chrystine M. Sullivan Memorial Foundation. Those who have not yet returned their pledge money can call The Signature Healthcare Foundation at (508) 941-7878.
“I am moved by the spirit, dedication, and generosity of the supporters of this event,” said Norman B. Goodman, Signature Healthcare President & CEO. “To see 10,000 people walking on such a rainy day, is awe inspiring.”
