December 4, 2009 - On Wednesday, December 2, several Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital departments partnered to provide a day long Emergency Medical Services (EMS) conference - the first in our region. In what’s planned as an annual event, sixty EMS personnel heard presentations from Cardiology, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Neurology and Obstetrics and Gynecology. Every department emphasized how important EMS care is to the ultimate success in treating patients, and EMS attendees left the conference rejuvenated in the understanding of the vital role they play. Presenting physicians included Dr. Syed Tahir, Cardiology; Dr. Khaled Sorour, Critical Care; Dr. Jim Gilbert, Neurology; Dr. Keith Merlin, OB/Gyn and Doctors Daniel Muse and Kenneth Lawson, Emergency Medicine.
