Maternal-Newborn Pavilion

Our Maternal-Newborn Pavilion offers well-appointed surroundings and the comforts of a five-star hotel.  Expanded in recent years to include a new Family Suite to the pavilion's Birthing Suite, each room is equipped with advanced technology, and offers:

* hotel-style comfort and privacy
* homelike furnishings
* subdued lighting
* in-room accommodations for fathers or support person
* private bath and shower

Beyond the unique accommodations and amenities of our Maternal-Newborn Pavilion, our unit offers a private surgical suite and a Level II Special Care Nursery, affiliated with Tufts Medical Center, for newborns that require extra attention. An overnight room is available to Mothers of breastfeeding babies in the Special Care Nursery.

Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital obstetricians, neonatologist, pediatricians and anesthesiologists offer 24-hour in-house physician coverage. We are proud of our caring and highly skilled nurses and of our partnership with the finest obstetricians and midwives in the area. For high-risk pregnancies and deliveries, we offer on-site Perinatology services in collaboration with Tufts Medical Center.

Our anesthesia team is available through our staff physicians, so there is always a physician available.  We offer our mothers the option of a patient controlled epidural, to help manage their pain during labor. This extra level of care is unique to Signature Healthcare among other hospitals in the area.

Our commitment to the health of mothers, families and babies starts even before delivery. We offer an array of maternity and family classes to make childbirth and parenting a positive and memorable experience. 


Our Nurses

Our nurses are trained in all areas of maternal-newborn care so that they can be with you throughout your hospital stay. Your nurse will help you over the course of your labor and delivery and show you how to care for yourself and your baby afterward. Our nurses are available 24 hours a day to answer any questions you may have before, during, or even after your stay. Our goal is to provide new mothers and their newborns with the special care and support they need.
