Stellar Care and Compassion at the Brockton Hospital ER Friday, February 13, 2015

Over the weekend of Feb. 7 and 8th, I responded to 2 different SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) cases. The ER was not only full, but over flowing with patients into the halls. The nurses were out straight; however, through it all they demonstrated not only excellent nursing care for the patients that I was called to see, but they went above and beyond. Without revealing too much about the cases, I'll just say that a struggling family left there with much needed services in place. A young girl learned that there are people who really care and she's going to be getting many additional services put in place. A predator will be taken off the streets, due to the diligence of the nurse. A woman that lost all her worldly belongings (because we needed to take them for evidence), left with not only new clothes, but a new winter coat. The nurses were quick to respond and truly treated the cases as a level 1 priority. The attending doctors were compassionate. I just wanted everyone to know too often people only write to complain. I am writing to thank them for everything they do and how well they do it. Keep up the good fight!
