The birth of your child is important to all members of your family. We allow two people to join you in the delivery room. We are excited to invite all other family and friends to your room after the delivery.
Your baby will be staying with you in your room for the duration of your stay. This allows you and your family to learn and understand your baby’s needs. We believe that this is the best way for you and your baby to get to know each other during your stay and it gives us every opportunity to care for, support and teach you as a family.

Signature Healthcare is internationally recognized as a Baby-Friendly Designated birth facility from Baby-Friendly USA.
Baby-Friendly USA, Inc. is the U.S. authority for the implementation of the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (“BFHI”), a global program sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The initiative encourages and recognizes hospitals and birthing centers that offer an optimal level of care for breastfeeding mothers and their babies. While there are more than 20,000 designated Baby-Friendly hospitals and birth centers worldwide; as of May 2021, there were only 590 active Baby-Friendly hospitals and birth centers in the United States.
We provide breastfeeding education to you and your family prenatally, during your hospital stay, and continue after discharge with our weekly Breastfeeding Support Group and Lactation Consultant appointments as needed. We want you to feel trust in the process, and confident in your strength and abilities!
We support placing your baby immediately skin to skin after delivery. We call this the “Golden Hour” where you and your baby finally meet each other and spend time together uninterrupted.
You will be encouraged to stay together with your baby during your hospital stay (rooming-in) to continue getting to know your baby while getting ongoing support and education from the skilled and caring nursing staff.
