X-Ray

X-Ray

An X-Ray uses forms of electromagnetic waves that penetrate materials of different densities. When an X-Ray hits the image receptor, it exposes different structures inside the body. Due to the various densities of each part exposed (bone, fat, muscle, tumor, etc.) the image on the film will appear differently. Bones have a high density causing them to appear white on the image, while softer tissues, like fat, will appear as a shade of gray on the film.

Routine radiography is performed at our all our locations. Fluoroscopy is performed at our Brockton Hospital location.

Contact the ordering physician or visit your MyHealth Portal for your results.
