Tuition FAQs

Tuition-Related FAQs

When will I receive my bill?

Bills are posted on the SonisWeb student portal approximately two months prior to the start of a semester, with a due date of one month prior to the start.   All students will be notified via e-mail when statement is available online to view and/or print.

How can payments be made?

Payments may be made by debit or credit card.  Please see payment information page for link to credit card authorization form.  Payments may be made in person or over the phone with the Bursar's office at 508-941-7047  until  3:00 p.m.  Students may also pay online through SonisWeb via PayPal at any time.  CASH is not accepted as a form of payment. We will also accept checks and money orders payable to BHSON.  Please include your name and student ID number on the check.

Can my parents get a copy of the Bill?

We post all statements to your student account on SonisWeb, we do not mail statements.

When is payment due?

One month prior to the start of classes.  The date will appear on the tuition statement.

Do you offer a payment plan?

Students wishing to take part in the Budget Payment Plan must contact the Bursar’s Office via email to set up an appointment prior to the due date on the statement.  There is a one-time fee of $25 which is due by the due date along with 25% of the statement balance.  Three additional payments of 25% each will be due approximately 30, 60 & 90 days after the original payable date.

What if the payment is late?

Please make sure all payments are received by the due date. If payment is not received by the due date, a $50.00 late fee may be assessed to the bill for each late payment.

How do I know my refund check is available?

Students who have overpaid their bill as a result of financial aid, scholarships, or other payments will be issued a refund.

Students will receive a paper check which will be mailed to their address of record when available. All refunds are made payable to the student or their parent if the refund is the result of a Parent Plus Loan.

Can anyone receive information on my bill?

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects a student’s confidentiality with regard to their records at BHSN, including financial information. BHSON requires a student’s express consent to release financial information to anyone other than the student – this includes parents and third party payers. Students are encouraged to fill out a FERPA waiver, which will allow us to discuss your bill with parties you authorize.  A student is able to designate the person(s) to whom they give permission to discuss their bill.  A link to the 'Permission to Disclose Information' form is available on the Payment Information page.

Why isn’t my financial aid award on my bill?

If your awards are not listed on your bill, please contact the Financial Aid Office to review your statement.

I have called several times and the telephones are busy.

The Bursar’s Office experiences peak call volume on the date that payments are due. You are encouraged to call ahead of the due date with your debit / credit card information and it will be processed on the due date.

You can also e-mail a copy of the debit / credit card information form to the Bursar’s Office at dlist@signature-healthcare.org or fax it to 508-941-6448. Please be sure to include the student's name and ID number on the form.
