Provider holding patients hand

My mother was recently hospitalized with pneumonia and because of her Alzheimer’s I was with her day and night throughout her stay. The nursing staff, as well as phlebotomists, respiratory therapists, x-ray techs, maintenance and anyone else assigned to her care were very professional and accommodating. Everyone did a great job but there were four people that went above and beyond, making a serious situation bearable and making a lasting impression on me; Nurse Jackie in the Emergency Department and Nurse Jennifer and CNAs Chantel and Karen on B2. No matter what my mother needed they never hesitated, reacting both quickly and proactively. The way they spoke to and cared for my mother showed love and compassion and their sensitivity to her Alzheimer’s was amazing. It’s apparent they are passionate about what they do. They even made sure I was comfortable and took the time to patiently explain to me anything I didn’t understand about her treatment. My mother has done well and I am convinced that it is because of the initial care she received at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital that she was able to pull through in spite of the odds against her.
