Respiratory Therapy

The Respiratory Therapy Department is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to take care of our inpatient and outpatient customers of all ages - even premature infants!

A Respiratory Therapist cares for, evaluates and treats patients with breathing disorders. Many conditions affect your ability to breathe properly. Some are more well known like Asthma, while others, like COPD, are more unfamiliar. Our patients might have chronic lung problems like Bronchitis and Emphysema or suffer from an acute condition like heart attack or an accident.

We provide a variety of diagnostic services and treatments such as pulmonary function tests or assisting in the use of equipment to help you breathe better (Oxygen, CPAP, BIPAP).

In addition, we can help with common issues such as quitting smoking, Asthma treatment and triggers, and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

Our Respiratory Therapy Dept offers you prompt, accurate service in our pulmonary function lab. Learn about this area and other testing we do to help asses and treat your lungs on a personal level.

We are clinically affiliated with Massasoit Community College, meaning we are one of the clinical sites used by the Respiratory students at Massasoit to gain experience.
